Senior Electronics Engineer
SymCom, Inc., a global supplier and the inventors of the industry standards PumpSavers and MotorSavers product lines, is expanding.
We are looking for a senior electronics engineer with strong embedded software and hardware design skills and project management experience. Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DeviceNet, Profibus, CANopen and Ethernet is desired. Low power switching power supply design experience is a must. The ideal candidate should be familiar with three phase and single phase power systems. Wireless experience is a plus. Strong people skills are a needed to work with internal staff as well as external customers.
The ideal candidate should have experience designing for agency approval in the US, Canada and internationally. Knowledge of UL 508, UL 913, IEC 60079, IEC 60947, IEC 61010 is desired. Design experience to EMC/EMI standards is a must.
The ideal candidate will have a BSEE and 10+ years of product development experience. The candidate must be able to work on projects independently or as part of a team.

Mechanical SolidWorks Drafter/Designer
The company is in need of an experienced mechanical drafter/designer to join our team. The drafter/designer will produce plastic injection molded enclosure, sheet metal enclosure and production fixture designs. The qualified applicant will be a motivated self starter that can work with minimal supervision and pays close attention to detail.
Education Level:
Associate Degree in Mechanical Design and/or Drafting
3+ years of experience with:
- SolidWorks and PDMWorks
- Plastic snap together injection molded enclosure design
- Sheet metal enclosure design
- Correct sizing and tolerancing of functional enclosure parts such as latches, slides, etc.
- Conduct tolerance studies to ensure proper fit and function
- Produce prototype and production specification documentation
- Provide assembly drawings
- Provide drawings for marketing literature
- Design fixtures for CNC mills, pad printers and production automated test systems
- Prepare special part orders
- Verify completeness of bill of materials
Principal Electronics Technician
The company is in need of an experienced electronics technician to join our team. Under the supervision of senior design engineers, the electronics technician will design electronic equipment using previously used and well understood and documented circuitry. The technician will manage the development project making sure all documentation is complete, following the progress of the project as it enters the production stage. The qualified applicant will be a motivated self starter that can work with minimal supervision and pays close attention to detail.
Education and Experience Level:
Associate Degree in Electronics + 5-7 yrs experience in product development

Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology + 3-5 yrs experience in product development
Skills:
- Experience with Altium schematic capture and PCB layout software
- Circuit simulation
- Strong mathematical and circuit analysis skills
- Project management/coordination

Responsibilities:
- Correct sizing and tolerancing of resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc.
- Make worst case performance analysis for electronic circuits
- Research and specify components
- Build and test electronic equipment prototypes
- Debug and repair electronics equipment
- Advise on circuit modifications or suggest new circuits or devices
- Advise on feasibility of electronic solutions
- Document functional tests of equipment
- Perform and document EMC/EMI tests
- Create and enter assembly BOMs into the manufacturing system
- Report on project schedule
- Prepare special part orders
- Verify completeness of bill of materials
Regional Sales Manager - South East
We're looking for in-region sales managers to run reps and to handle & develop both channel partners and direct accounts. All territory responsibility for your region will be yours while our excellent home office inside staff will provide the support you need. These responsibilities will include achieving specific corporate/product sales objectives, analyzing sales results and developing marketing plans to pull product through distribution.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of technical college or military experience, CRM experience and 5 to 10 years of personal, in-region experience managing rep firms, distributors and direct accounts in the industrial electrical/electronics market space.
We're looking for two regional managers, one for our southwestern region and another for our southeastern region. Ideal home states for these candidate would be either NV or AZ and AL, GA or FL and close to a major airport.
